I’ve been wanting to do a photograph like that for a while. Not super original, I know, but as it turns out quite hard to execute. Either way, I’m pleased that I got both models (Katya and Nadya) to pull it off. Certainly, an unfinished project, but I’d like to share these middle point works as well. If I find a client for it, this could be a nice series of posters. Would be fun to do a bunch.

This was a bit more planned mission than usual which proved itself. Really it always does. Model was excellent even though I have a tendency to confuse them with too many contradicting directions. It’s fine line between distracting the model from what they tend to do and small but crucial adjustments when they hit the mark. Ah, photography is a car accident anyway. I’m especially pleased with brush in the sand shot. Right time of the day with setting sun behind, light from top left.
Once again thanks to my new crew; Ulya Pashkina for organizing and scouting, Andrei Misho for assisting and lighting, and Inna of course.
To top it off, curious new Royksopp track. Different, must be listened loud with good bass.

Waiting on a plane. Will be in Russia in less than 24 hours. All I can think about are my friends I’m leaving behind. Nothing material, nothing political, nothing worrisome only good feelings of every relationship I had in past 10 years, big (fuge) or small. I will miss all of you every moment till I see you again. Gotta stop now before I start bawling in the airport.

San Francisco Trip

Kyung and I have taken a drive to San Francisco last week. A spontaneous mission or as we call those – a funky adventure. Loads of positive impressions, laughs, burgers, beers. Lots of photos.

Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway

Always wanted to visit it, turned out it was on our drive thru. In that post I’d like to tell some history about the place, to give you the feeling I got when I was there.

One thing I’ve missed all these years are apples from my grandfather’s garden. From what I hear, it’s an apple year. Time to share my love with the world.
