Waiting on a plane. Will be in Russia in less than 24 hours. All I can think about are my friends I’m leaving behind. Nothing material, nothing political, nothing worrisome only good feelings of every relationship I had in past 10 years, big (fuge) or small. I will miss all of you every moment till I see you again. Gotta stop now before I start bawling in the airport.

Some of you might know I’m getting ready to move across the world (again). Not to neglect the post, I’d like to announce some upcoming posts.
San Francisco Trip

Kyung and I have taken a drive to San Francisco last week. A spontaneous mission or as we call those – a funky adventure. Loads of positive impressions, laughs, burgers, beers. Lots of photos.
Bonneville Salt Flats Speedway

Always wanted to visit it, turned out it was on our drive thru. In that post I’d like to tell some history about the place, to give you the feeling I got when I was there.
Apples
One thing I’ve missed all these years are apples from my grandfather’s garden. From what I hear, it’s an apple year. Time to share my love with the world.

Thom Yorke fantastic cover of Miracle’s Legion song. He really puts his own into this song. Always spot on. Reminds me of ‘Black Swan’.

This is a particular treat for Sigur Ros fans. Collaboration project of Jónsi Þór Birgisson (Sigur Ros guitarist and vocalist) and Alex Somers (Sigur Ros graphic designer and Jonsi’s boyfriend).

Three new images uploaded to the gallery. One from Aciesmine campaign shot in small New York City apartment. One taken at Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Amazing natural environment – short mountain range running parallel to the Rockies forming it’s own valleys, green hills and incredible summer weather. And also from same area the image of buffalo. Buffalo walked out from behind the main fence just at the right time for me to take this photo at sunset. This is one of my favorite images of this year.
This image is also in retouch gallery, where you can see original.

Photograph of a rare Tiger Chipmunk species. Found only at high altitude, where they inbreed with equally rare Tiger Cat.
Another installment of fuzz effect. I tried new things here: larger area of application, different color transitions. This is not chipmunk’s original fur. Maybe should try checkers pattern next time.
Let me know what you think?

New AIR album to hit the proverbial shelf in October. Love 2 – follow up to Pocket Symphony, first track “Do the Joy” is here for you to hear.

More from French camp – SebastiAn. To be more specific – Daft Punk camp (Kavinsky, Justice, Sebastien Tellier). Holders of unique sound and kings of suspense in electronic music.

Unbelievable and all-weather hike up the mountain beats out hamburgers and hot dogs for 4th of July. So last weekend my friend Justin, his Mom and I hiked up 12,162 feet (3,707m) St. Vrain Mountain along Rock Creek Trail. Total elevation gain of 2,500 feet about 3 hours there and back.
This peak is part of Rocky Mountain National Park, but the best access is by way of highway 7 at Allenspark. No usual national park’s crowds and no entrance fee as well as good camping grounds if you choose to stay overnight or encounter serious weather.

Monks with netbooks? I say “Yes!” While every one and their brother is walking around with a notebook, why not your local Buddhist Monk? As it turns out, they are quite fond of technology and the benefits of staying “connected.”
Before I continue, let me first say that I am not a Buddhist. I just happen to be there at the right time to assist these monks. And please be advised that the point of this post is about applying new technologies to old institutions. Not about starting a religious flame war, or one’s preference on philosophical/spiritual beliefs.
